THE WHOLE CHILD

Many times child caregivers are not aware of the impact a child's health and wellness has on the child's greater development. We want to help child caregivers know this impact and provide the resources for the healthiest children.

Who Is Caring for Our Children?

Picture
Many types of child care exist. There are the "formal" kind that many think of as licensed child care facilities like centers and family child care homes.  These places are required to follow certain types of regulation and are set up as businesses to care for children.

Then you have grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, au pairs, babysitters and parents who do trades to keep costs down.  These caregivers are considered "informal" care or Family, Friend and Neighbor care.  The phrasing differs from state to state.

When we say child caregivers - we are talking all of those who touch children's lives, so we all know the impact we are making on children's health and to provide resources to help us do that.
