Q&A

  1. Does my organization have to execute the plans that we submit?    No, the challenge is to share.
  2. Can a child care provider submit a plan to win a prize? No, this challenge is only for active CACFP Sponsors only.
  3. How much detail does the organization have to give about these plans? That’s completely up to the organization submitting the plan. And how much they want to win.
  4. If my organization doesn't win, will you still be sharing our plan on your website? Yes, that’s the CACFP Sponsors Helping CACFP Sponsors piece of this challenge.
  5. Will you put the organizations name on the website with the submitted plan? Yes, unless the organization requests to be anonymous in the application.
  6. If our organization wins, do we have to spend the money on the plan we submitted. No, you do not. 
  7. If we win, are there any requirements on how the money is to be used?  Any monies received from the 2020 CACFP take ACTION Challenge must only be used for the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
  8. Will our agency be required to report to TLFFCI how we used the money? Yes, but just to tell TLFCCI that any monies received from the challenge was spent on the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Whether it was spent on providers; on staff; on supplies; or on putting to practice your winning plan, it must be spent on CACFP. A letter to TLFCCI reporting how the funds were spent will be required.
  9. Is there a specific due date for this reporting to TLFCCI? Within one year from the date the funds were received.
  10. Do I have to submit a plan for both Recruiting and Retaining a child care business to CACFP? Yes, to be eligible, one of each.
  11. How will the plans be selected? On time Plans submitted will be judged on creativity and details. Submissions will be assigned a number to remain anonymous for judging by the TLFCCI Challenge committee.

Challenge Rules

SUBMISSION OF PHOTO, TEXT OR OTHER CONTENT: Agency entries as well as any and all attachments such as photo, text or other content from the entrants will be judged entirely at the discretion of T&L Foundation for Child Care Information (TLFCCI). You acknowledge and agree that TLFCCI shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any photo or information submitted by your agency and may, in its sole and unfettered discretion, remove, edit, modify or delete any photo or information that you submit to T&L Foundation. Photos or information submitted by you to the site shall be the property of TLFCCI, and TLFCCI shall have no obligation to preserve, return or otherwise make available to the entrants or others any photos or information so submitted.


WINNER SELECTION: TLFCCI's Challenge Committee will select ten(10) winners from all eligible entries; Nine $1,000.00 prizes and One $5,000.00 grand prize. Winners will be announced within 30 days of the close of the challenge.


WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners of the contest will be contacted by the Foundation using the Agency’s email address provided on the Challenge Form. The winning Sponsors must respond to the Foundation within 30 days of being notified. Failure to respond
shall mean the Agency forfeits the prize. TLFCCI is not required to award elsewhere any prizes forfeited by the chosen winner(s).

GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, each entrant agrees: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of TLFCCI, which shall be final in all respects relating to this challenge (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless TLFCCI, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising of the 2020 CACFP take ACTION Challenge participants, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the foregoing (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant's participation in the challenge or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize (or portion thereof), including any/all travel/activity related thereto; and (c) to the use of his/her name, address (city and state), voice, performance, photograph, image and/or other likeness for programming, advertising, publicity, trade and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by Sponsor and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.

All monies received from the 2020 CACFP take ACTION Challenge must be used for the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
 
Organizations are required to report to TLFFCI  that any monies awarded to them for the challenge was spent on the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Whether it was spent on providers; on staff; on supplies; or on putting to practice your winning plan, it must be spent on CACFP. A letter to TLFCCI reporting how the funds were spent is required. One year from the date the funds were received from TLFCCI is the due date for the reporting to TLFCCI?
 
 
To be eligible, you must be a California CACFP Sponsor or a member of the Child Care Food Program Roundtable. You must submit a plan for both Recruiting and Retaining a child care business to CACFP?

Employees of TLFCCI and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agencies and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling or child and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household of such employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.
